Big Wednesday
I grew up snowboarding almost every day, skateboarding whenever I could and watching movies such as Big Wednesday, dreaming of being part of that revolution that years later somehow made my life better.
Finally my Big Wednesday arrived, I spent two weeks at the Hawaii traveling and surfing through the legendaries spots where surf riders forged a new lifestyle for the generation to come. High-res

Confetti !
I wish I had somebody to say “I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a while” but being probably the only person following my blog I don’t think that anybody care…
The excuse is that I got married in New York the last month then went to the Hawaii for the honeymoon, and when I got back I had to work night and day to get back on track with the deadlines.
In this picture a little gift we gave to the guests of our wedding, in Italian is called “Confetti” which means sugared almonds. High-res

Digital Children
World is changing - or better has changed, kids are used to technology, computers are everywhere. Nothing sounds really new about that. It’s just that I didn’t expect that my little 8 years old cousin is drawing using a wacom tablet directly on her computer.
She sent me this beautiful paint as a present for our imminent wedding, look at the colors, the composition, the idea that we are watching each other… I may need to shorten the sleeves of my jacket but it so lovely, there is so much in it!
Thanks Matilde! High-res

Snowboarding Sun-day!
It’s 10 o’ clock, I’m a bit sleepy because I’ve worked till really late last night, sun is high in the sky, no clouds, 19°C. Let’s get ready to go to Livigno for the probably last snowboarding journey of the winter season.
I’m pumped, jacket, pants, goggles, beanies, boots, sunscreen, money, keys, extra socks, board, everything is in the trunk of my car, I’m ready to go!
A good 90 minutes driving to get there, no traffic at all - maybe because it’s late and everybody has already arrived -  loud rocking music as usual, quick ritual “focaccina del pompato”  just in case and I’m arrived.
As the spring comes I tend to forget things, it happened before with the boots in a day of total powder, it happened with the jacket, many times with the goggle, so this time I had to forget the gloves. I’ve already had that experience a couple of years ago when I went to do downhill by bike and I felt jumping as I had to: scratches everywhere. This time I only lost my fingerprints, my palm is now perfectly polished.
The park was still huge and trails where perfectly melted for jibbing, lots of fun.
To complete the awesomeness pit stop at the hot springs - the free once next to the river in Bormio - and a few minutes of relax before driving back home.
Last but not least, to complete a perfect day I forgot my sunglasses on the roof of my car, realized too late but still got luck: I’ve found them in pieces in the middle of the road, when reassembled they hadn’t a scratch! High-res

Spring sunset, London.
Who says that in London is always cloudy and rainy? It’s maybe right but when the sky is clean the colors are amazing. I took this picture from the window of my apartment with my Canon 5DII without any photoshop trick. I love the gradient in the sky and the almost graphical skyline. High-res

Amazing communication at the hospital
Yesterday I was walking around at the hospital in Sondalo, Italy when I came across this beautiful piece of design. It looks messy but if you try to read it carefully it’s quite straight forward, except for the “Cappella” (chapel) and the “Uscita Nord” (North Exit) which are in the middle not meaning anything to me.
I have to admit that I’ve found the Bar easily even though the hospital has 9 pavilions and I had to walk across 3 of them, but on the way back I met a person that has been working at the hospital for the last 25 years and couldn’t find pavilion 5. High-res
